Udta Punjab is one of the most awaited Indian movies after the release of the theatrical trailer. Abhishek Chaubey directed the movie and Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh played the lead roles. The movie completed all the censor formalities and the censor board rejected to review the movie.

As per the latest news, the members of the censor board ordered 40 cuts for the film as the movie had excessive swearing, abusive language and drug consumption. The 40 cuts of Udta Punjab include expletives, a song and visuals of substance abuse.The movie’s producer Anurag Kashyap has approached the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) in a bid to get a quick clearance with nominal cuts.

Udta Punjab has been produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie has been slated for release on June 17th across the world.
