Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that he missed being in India for Diwali this year in a post and also spoke about the significance of the Festival of Lights, Diwali, wishing everyone for Diwali.

An image was posted by Zuckerberg, where he was along with wife Priscilla. He wrote, “I missed being in India for Diwali this year, but here’s a picture of Priscilla, and me at our good friends’ wedding in Goa a few years ago.”

Speaking about the significance of Diwali, he said that during the festival of lights fireworks and candles are lit by the people as a mark of victory of good over evil. “It’s a moment of celebration for people in India and communities all over the world,” Zuckerberg added.

Earlier, Zuckerberg hosted a townhall Q&A in Delhi, India, which had it all from suggestions to students till irritating Candy Crush requests and violation of net neutrality in India

In an earlier report, Facebook said that data related to content restrictions as well as government requests surged in the first half of 2015. The social network has seen this continuously rise since it began releasing such data to public two years ago.
