Nothing Phone 3a Lite was unveiled worldwide on Wednesday, marking the newest midrange mobile device from the company led by Carl Pei. This new model in the Nothing Phone 3a line is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro octa-core processor, combined with 8GB of RAM and offers storage options of up to 256GB. It features a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 50-megapixel main lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The device supports rapid 33W charging through a USB Type-C connection. The new smartphone will start selling in specific regions today. It will be offered in two color options on the Nothing website. The price for the Nothing Phone 3a Lite begins at EUR 249 (approximately Rs. 25,600) for the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In the UK, this model costs GBP 249 (around Rs. 29,000). The higher-end version, which includes 256GB of storage, is priced at EUR 279 (roughly Rs. 28,700). In the UK, the same model sells for GBP 279 (approximately Rs. 32,500).
The new phone will be available for purchase today in White and Black. The 128GB version of the Nothing Phone 3a Lite can be found at Nothing's online store and other retail outlets, while the 256GB version will only be sold through the company’s website. This phone is a dual SIM 5G device running on Nothing OS 3.5, which is based on Android 15. The company promises three years of significant Android updates and six years of security updates for this smartphone. It features a 6.77-inch Full-HD+ (1,080×2,392 pixels) Flexible AMOLED screen with a refresh rate that adapts up to 120Hz, maximum HDR brightness reaching 3,000 nits, a pixel density of 387ppi, and a touch sampling rate of 1,000Hz. The display also supports 1.07 billion colors and includes 2,160Hz PWM dimming.
The Nothing Phone 3a Lite is driven by an octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro processor along with 8GB of RAM. The device has a built-in storage capacity of up to 256GB, which can be expanded to 2TB using a MicroSD card slot. Additionally, the Phone 3a Lite includes the Glyph Light notification feature located on the back. For photography, the Phone 3a Lite has a triple-rear camera arrangement, led by a 50-megapixel main camera featuring a 1/1.57-inch Samsung sensor (f/1.88), optical image stabilization (OIS), and electronic image stabilization (EIS). It also has an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2) with a 119.5-degree view. The company has not disclosed details about the third camera on the back of the Nothing Phone 3a Lite. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel (f/2.45) camera for selfies, which is placed within a hole-punch cutout on the display.
The Nothing Phone 3a Lite can record videos in 4K quality at 30 frames per second, 1080p videos at a maximum of 60 frames per second, and 1080p slow-motion videos at 120 frames per second. It includes a TrueLens Engine 4.0 and features like Motion Capture, Portrait Optimiser, and Night Mode. This phone has connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and OZSS. For safety, it has an in-display fingerprint scanner along with an accelerometer, digital compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. The Phone 3a Lite is rated IP54 for resistance against dust and splashes and comes with Panda Glass protection for both the front and back. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging, as well as 5W wired reverse charging. This phone measures 164 by 78 by 8.3 millimeters and weighs approximately 199 grams.
