The missing Connecticut boy with autism was found dead, police in Texas confirmed.

According to the Pearland Police Department, nine-year-old Marcus McGee had been missing since Thursday afternoon.

KHOU reported that the boy’s family visited Texas from Connecticut for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Lt. Oneismo Lopez said that the boy was found in a body of water near the family’s property.

Earlier while searching for the boy, the police said in a statement that, "Unfortunately there is no new information regarding the ongoing search for Marcus McGhee." "With daylight we are hopeful that volunteers may have more luck with search efforts."
