The World Health Organization released an official statement that the Indian variant of coronavirus is now found in 44 countries of the globe. The variant B.1.617 is found in India in October and it is found in more than 4500 samples that are uploaded through the database in 44 countries told the health organization. Outside India, most of the cases of this variant are reported in the United Kingdom. Earlier this week, the World Health Organization called the Indian variant as a variant of concern. Three other variants of coronavirus are traced in Britain, Brazil and South Africa. These are more dangerous than the original variants of coronavirus.

This is because they are more transmissible and deadly. WHO says that this virus is prevalent in many countries of the globe and is fastly spreading. It is more resistant to treatment with monoclonal antibody Bamlanivimab. It is heard that the vaccines not very effective for this variant and it may be limited. This led to the worst situation in the country and India is now the most impacted country of the globe after the United States of America. India has been reporting close to 4 lakh new cases on a regular basis and 4000 deaths are registered on a daily basis. Apart from B.1.617, the Britain variant of B.1.1.7 is also detected in India.
