Had US President Barack Obama been a tenant at the White House, he couldn't have managed to put up at the 132-room sprawling mansion for more than six months. Ask why?

Apparently, the rental for the 55,000 sq foot executive mansion, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, would be nothing less than $1.8 million according to an American online real estate portal.

Not just that, if anyone was to buy the official residence of the President of the U.S.A. that boasts of gated entry, doorman and security system, one would have to shell out an astronomical $319 million.

Plus, the estimated tax for this Georgian style mansion would incur up to  $109,000  and homeowner's insurance could cost $92 per month.

To keep the porous sandstone walls blinding white, nearly 570 gallons of paint are used every year. Built by James Hoban in 1798, the historic 6-level residence of all American presidents include 412 doors, 147 windows, 35 bathrooms, 28 fireplaces, 8 staircases and 3 elevators.

The estimated net-worth of the President of America is $12.2 million, with an annual salary of $400,000. So going by the  wherewithal, if Obama was to foot the bill, he and his family could have afforded to stay in the house for just 6.7 months.
