We all love guests, ok, not every one of us, but a lot of us do, especially when they are very close to us. Well, sometimes a surprise visit can cause a disruption when we are least expecting someone to show up.

What if someone as huge as a bear visits your house? Let’s make it worse, what if a real bear wants to see you at your home. May be he is worried about your health, who knows?

Last week a black bear made a visit to a resident of Stagecoach in Avon, Connecticut

The bear showed up on the woman’s back deck on Wednesday morning while the homeowner was preparing brownies.

The woman said to the reporters that the black bear sent nearly half an hour on the deck, standing up and putting its paws upon the glass sliding door leading to the kitchen.

She said that the bear had visited the backyard before, adding that she had previously taken steps to prevent bears from being attracted to the yard.

“Sometimes I let my dogs out in the back and do their thing," said Charlie Whitney. "But now that seemed pretty aggressive and I may have to rethink letting my dogs out unsupervised."

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said it was aware of the incident but did not respond. A neighbor came to assist the homeowner in shooing off the animal.

Bears are tagged in each ear for research purposes during the hibernation season.

The department said that they are looking into the bear’s behavior to see if any action was required to be taken.

The department stressed that it is common for bears to come onto decks or porches and that it is becoming more frequent as the bear population grows.
