Xiaomi 17T was introduced in India on Wednesday. It is the newest addition to the top-level Xiaomi 17 series, featuring cameras fine-tuned by Leica and a special 5x periscope telephoto camera. The new phone has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip, along with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The Xiaomi 17T comes with HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16. It includes a 6,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. The initial cost of the Xiaomi 17T in India begins at Rs. 59,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, while the version with 512GB storage is priced at Rs. 64,999. As part of the launch promotions, Xiaomi is providing an immediate Rs. 5,000 discount on selected HDFC Bank, SBI Card, American Express, and ICICI Bank cards. Buyers can also choose a Rs. 5,000 bonus for trading in their old phone instead of the bank discount. Moreover, HDFC Bank card users can receive up to Rs. 5,000 in cashback. After applying the instant bank discount, the effective prices for the Xiaomi 17T are lowered to Rs. 54,999 and Rs. 59,999 for the 256GB and 512GB models, respectively.

Xiaomi is also providing no-cost EMI options for up to 18 months and no down payment choices. The company has also promised a buyback value of 60 percent within a year of purchasing. For the base 12GB + 256GB version, Xiaomi claims the buyback plan can reduce the actual ownership cost over one year to Rs. 19,000. Customers will also receive free subscriptions, including four months of Spotify Premium Standard, three months of YouTube Premium, and three months of Google AI Pro. The device will be available for purchase starting June 10 through the Xiaomi website, Amazon, and Xiaomi stores across the nation. The dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) Xiaomi 17T runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. It features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and brightness up to 3,500 nits. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage options up to 512GB. Additionally, the device has a 3D IceLoop cooling system for managing heat.

Regarding the camera, the Xiaomi 17T is equipped with a Leica-supported triple camera system on the back, including a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary camera, a 50-megapixel Leica 5x periscope telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The periscope camera reportedly offers a 115mm equivalent focal length and optical image stabilization (OIS). In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi 17T includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, NavIC, and a USB Type-C port. The phone has an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water, along with Gorilla Glass 7i protection for the screen. The Xiaomi 17T features a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W HyperCharge fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
