Illegal immigrant arrested for sexually molesting a toddler

Police officers arrested a 19-year-old Guatemalan national, Douglas Hus-Flores and charged him with first degree sexual assault, and risk of injury to a minor.

The family took the toddler  to the hospital after she told her mother about the pain she was suffering. Doctors later confirmed that the injuries were caused due to a sexual molestation.

Police arrested Douglas Hus-Flores, a 19-year-old Guatemalan national, and charged him with first-degree sexual assault, and risk of injury to a minor. The mother found the toddler bleeding and rushed her to a nearby hospital, Lt. Tom Barcello told  said.

He said that the hospital released the child and confirmed that Hus-Flores lived in the same residence, where the child did at the sexual assault.

Hus-Flores admitted that to sexually molesting her. He said the investigators that the child was crying for her mother, when notices her mother was not in home, he initially offered her  yogurt to stop her from continuing to cry.

Then, he took the child to watch cartoons on his lap, and molesting her. “Felt lonely and wanted to be with a woman,” officials stated.

Immigration officials place a detainer on the Guatemalan man. He is being held in jail on a $250,000 bond.

In February Governor Dannel Malloy sent a memo to law enforcement officials across the state demanding to refuse compliance with federal immigration officials in order to help shield illegal immigrants from federal immigration law.

He insisted that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers not be treated as an official order for a suspected illegal immigrant’s detention.

Shortly after the memo, a previously deported criminal alien allegedly stabbed a woman in Bridgeport to death and kidnapped his six-year-old daughter.

Reportedly, he also stabbed another woman in the same house. The suspect had earlier been contacted by police in a non-related protective order matter.
